Through discussing and studying the development trend and current situation of modern illustrations, this paper makes a new interpretation of the art of illustration in brand image packaging design area. In this era of inundant information and visual explosion, graphics compress information for consumers, and accurately convey brand information to customers through a lively, interesting and intuitive way. As an important element of graphic language, illustration plays an increasingly important role for the promotion of brand image.In order to promote their own brand culture and the core values, more and more enterprises choose to cooperate with other areas. The diversified performance forms of illustrations, however, have injected new vitality to the cultural dissemination of brand image. Through the advantage of individuation of illustrations, brand image also emphasizeson enterprise idea and product personality, largely improving brand awareness, promoting brand image value, expanding the potential consumer groups and enhancing customers’brand loyalty and emotional appeal. This paper also makes a detailed narration on the brand authorized cooperation areas of illustration brand and enterprise brand. Through the cooperation with enterprise brand, the brand image of illustration and animation has largely increased the visibility of illustration and animation images, thus creating good channels for its branding. With the rapid development of Chinese licensing industry, illustration brand is facing with the unprecedented development opportunity. This paper describes the development trend of illustration and animation brand licensing industry in China, carries out on-the-spot investigation and makes discussion through practical successful cases, thus making a further comparision between the world’s strong countries in illustration and animation licensing industry, and pointing out the problems existing in Chinese illustration and animation brand licensing industry.With the development of the new technology, especially the innovation of CG technology, the creation of illustration becomes simple and its performance form and style beocme increasingly diversified. This paper makes a detailed division of the carriers of illustrations in brand packaging design, collects a lot of data for investigation and research, and discusses the various changes of illustration in brand image packaging design area under the environment of vigorous development of today’s business and network. Based on my own original brand design and specific production practice of "Moji’s Cats", this paper makes a deep discussion on the process, method, notice, cooperation channels and methods of illustrations in brand image packaging design, which is of certain innovative and practical significance.
