At the end of20th Century, the introduction of Feminism from western to China influenced the creation of Chinese Female writers a lot in1990s. A number of female writers who were with female perspective and who were writing about female’s life experience appeared constantly, and Chen Ran was one of them. Chen Ran’s writing was influenced by French feminism and there was a special feature in her works: Personal narrative. She expresses female subjectivity by depict experiences of female’s body and mental, and this caused a explosive controversy.Besides the feminism, the way of Chen Ran’s narrative and the characteristic of her written language should also be pay attention on. Her works are not limited in showing female’s experiences because that she concerns about expression of lonely feeling and the thoughts of philosophy of existence as well. Past comments have focused on her feminism and received a considerable achievement and paid attention on her lonely expression, however, other aspects of the research around her are not enough deep and comprehensive yet.This article discusses the distinct feature of Chen Ran’s narrative in her novel from three ways:the art uniqueness, the cultural implications and the artistic expressions. The paper have five parts.The first part is a forehead of this paper, talking about the reason and value of this research, the methods will be used and the situation of researches developed yet.The second part will sort out Chen Ran’s writing tracks and try to find the special place of Chen Ran in the literature field and also outline Chen Ran’s uniqueness in art creation.The third part uses the view of social gender, bases on the feminist theory and consults the concept of social value system, to analyze the gender narrative of Chen Ran’s novel. This part talks about father-daughter relations and mother-daughter relations of Chen Ran’s novel, analyzing the super-gender awareness and its value. At the same time, this part will make a comparison of super-gender awareness and the androgyny concept of Woolf, searching the foresightedness of super-gender awareness. Then it will make another comparison of super-gender awareness and the gender poetics, analyzes the same and the differences and there place in the development of feminism. What’s more, advantages and disadvantages of them and the feminism’s future will be considered.The forth part chooses another point to view, that is the form of artistic expression, this part observes the uniqueness of the artistic expression of Chen Ran’s works. References principle of narratology, and uses close reading to analyze and feel the specificity of Chen Ran. This part inspects Chen Ran’s narrative in three ways:melting on story and stress on emotion, alternate narrative perspective, and narrative model.In addition, this part appreciates Chen Ran’s poetic language through the beauty of her language and the new and original Imageries and the expressive force of her language.The last part is the conclusion. This part makes a conclusion of the value of Chen Ran’s contributions and a aspect of her new work. In a word, this paper makes an analysis of the narrative of Chen Ran’s novel from the content, the thought and the skill she used.
