Marriage and family are basic human society combination, not only related to personaldevelopment, but also related to the continuation of the development of human society. Andassociated Marriage Customs is also an enduring research subject in academia. Chinesecivilization has a long history, and Chinese civilization still continues today with the marriagerituals of transmutation for thousands of years. Ritual is the core of traditional culture, weddingceremony is the most fundamental one of all etiquette in the traditional concept of socio-cultural.Zhou Dynasty is an important stage in the development of Chinese ancient marriage, whichinheritined the Xia and Shang two dynastys custom, developed more systemic and perfect, laidthe basic etiquette and norms of marriage in ancient China, and preserved many literature aboutthe marriage rites.This thesis mainly analyzes and discusses the topic of marriage customs in Zhou Dynastywith theoretical sociology, folklore, cultural anthropology, which is based on the predecessorā€™sresearch results. This thesis is divided into three parts:The first part is preface, including the reason, current research, research significance. Thispart reviews the previous studies combed, points out their research achievements and problems,and puts forward creative conception of this thesis.The second part is the subject part of the thesis. It Includes chapter two, chapter three andchapter four. The chapter two discusses the marriage process of Zhou Dynasty and analyzes thespecific marriage ceremony. Through the complex and grand marriage ceremony, we can snoopthe marriage original appearance of Zhou Dynasty and experience the majesty of the marriage;The chapter three describes the wedding features of Zhou Dynasty, in order to reflect theMale-female relationships, social conditions, ideas and characteristics of the times under theinstitution of marriage in that era. characteristics of the times; The chapter four analyzes anddiscusses the wedding functions in social and cultural of Zhou Dynasty. The essence of culturalis a reality of means and it exists to satisfy the human demands. As a part of the traditional ritualculture, wedding plays its irreplaceable function in society, in order to directly or indirectly tosatisfy the needs of human society.The third part is the conclusion. This part summarizes the subject of the thesis, and analyzesthe wedding impact of Zhou Dynasty.
