| I choose the community drinking and the local society control of the MingDynasty as the research object of my thesis. From the perspective of communitydrinking ceremony, this thesis attempt to study the local society control, probe intothe interactive relationship between the central power and the local society so as tounderstand deeply the society and history of the Ming Dynasty.The thesis includes three parts: the introduction, the body and the conclusion.The introduction reviews general situation of the community drinking’s study. Thebody of the thesis is divided into three chapters. Chapter One: an overall situation ofthe community drinking, which describes the evolution, the content and thecharacteristics of the community drinking in the Ming Dynasty.The communitydrinking can be derived from Shang Dynasty, following by the later Dynasties. Thecommunity drinking of Ming Dynasty that follows by the previously Dynastieslearns from their strong points to offset their weakness. Concretely speaking, itincludes three aspects: selecting guests becomes more normative; the ceremonyprogram becomes more perfect; the characteristic becomes more distinct.ChapterTwo: the community drinking and the local society control, which include the genssystem and the community drinking; the ordinance of native place and thecommunity drinking, and the community drinking and the gentry of local society.The national control circumscription only exists above the county. While that is thegens system′s control circumscription under the county. The gens systems have theirself-rules, while their self-rules base on ethic.the ordinance of native place root fromethic.the gentry of local society is leading.celebrating community drinking.Thechancellors of local society can put up a stage through celebrating communitydrinking,which not only can connect with the government and the local society,butalso resort the power of the gentry of local society and the gens system to stick upfor the order of the local society and guarantee extending and infiltrating nationalpower to the local society successfully.Chapter Three: an evaluation of thecommunity drinking and the local society control in the Ming Dynasty from twoperspectives: level of system.The community drinking of Ming Dynasty incarnatethe government′s rule,which includes:thought control that is preventing theoccurrence of dissensions and punishing the improper behaviors that have notgerminated;control policy of the stick and the carrot;control pattern of integrating etiquette and custom with the law; control measure of ethical culture trait that thehome and the country is isomorphic.But since the middle epoch of Ming Dynasty,the ceremony program becomes more inaccurate because the dominator do not attachimportance to it and the ethos becomes more indecorous.The conclusion is a summarization of the whole thesis, pointing out that whatthe function of the community drinking is in the local society control in of MingDynasty. |
