Among all TV play series in prime time on China’s TV screens, family ethics dramas, served as a main type, are quite popular. The good harvest in both number and quality of this type of drama gives rise to innovation and deepening of the concept of teleplay. Its high ratings also indicate that family ethics dramas still enjoy brisk artistic vitality in its future development. Likewise, academic researches on family ethics dramas also arouse high attention of the theoretical cycle, especially researches from the perspective of narrative art. This kind of researches is mainly focused on:narrative theme-civilian life subject; narrative space:private daily space; narrative character: gender construction of both the hero and the heroine; narrative value:integration of traditional ethics and modern words, etc. Among numerous family ethics dramas in2013, all are designed with "child rearing" narrative, which gives a neoteric perspective of research and extensive space of horizon for the research in this paper.An attempt is made in this paper to take "child rearing" narrative in family ethics dramas as the object of research and teleplay narrative theory as the basis to highlight the television phenomenon of emergence and boom of "child rearing" narrative in2013family ethics dramas. This paper makes a selective analysis on characteristics of2013family ethics dramas highlighted "child rearing" narrative from perspectives of plot narration and character modeling, such as The Sweet Burden, Weaning, Baby, Angel Cometh Tonight, Hot Mom and Child’s Slave, thereby grasping the essence of reflected child rearing elements, child rearing plots, child rearing characters as well as practical significance and cultural value towards the current society. Specifically, this paper includes the following four chapters:The introduction states the research background of this paper, gives a direct description on the new film and television phenomenon of "child rearing" narrative in2013family ethics dramas, summarizes current research conditions of family ethics dramas, and represents relevant innovations, research methods and research significance of this paper.Based on the arrangement of evolution of narrative conflicts in family ethics dramas in recent years, the first chapter indicates the new breakthrough made in2013family ethics dramas:intense "child rearing" narrative, and analyze relevant reasons for this television narration, making the research in this paper more solider.In the second chapter, an exploration is made to the plot pattern of "child rearing" narrative in family ethics dramas. An analysis is made from the following four aspects: the mechanical structure of narrative, dramatic conflict of narrative, type plot of narrative as well as narrative time and narrative voice of text, so as to analyze both the style and the category of "child rearing" narrative.The character pattern of "child rearing" narrative in family ethics dramas is discussed in the third chapter. A specific analysis is made on character features in "child rearing" narrative in family ethics dramas from three aspects:the female (mother of the child) image, the male (father of the child) image and necessary supporting images. Moreover, an emphasis is laid on extraction of images with similar traits of character.In the fourth chapter, an exploration is made on cultural appeal and value connotation concealed in "child rearing" narrative in family ethics dramas. An attempt is made in this chapter to analyze the potential text, by-motive and culture psychology conveyed in "child rearing" narrative from perspectives of new orientation of relation between generations, new expression of gender words, new transformation of the role of mother, and new conflict of the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.In the conclusion, a summary is made to the whole paper, indicating the fresh and hot screen cultural phenomenon of "child rearing" narrative in2013family ethics dramas, and reflecting relevant narrative artistic techniques of this kind of dramas by combing the development of family ethics dramas, with the expectations to provide certain reference to later creations.
