A Study On Shen Shi Xing And His Book Of Songs

Shen Shixing, as Ming Cabinet Minister, had made great contributions for the government and left an indelible imprint in the history of Ming Dynasty. During his political career, there was nothing remarkable, but precisely because of his political measure of ordinary works, the Ming Dynasty could maintain a political stability after Zhang Juzheng’s death. After the study of Shen’s whole life, we may find out that his inaction in political life was not really doing nothing. On the contrary, he took advantage of conflicts in the search for checks and balanced points, so that he consolidated the control of Wan Li Emperor as well as his own position in the government. Under this background, this paper focuses on the interpretation of "Shujing Jiangyi Huibian", to search for the relationship between his political theory and political action. And through the conflicts and adjustments in the relationship, to find the role he was playing in years of Wanli, and also to describe some other characters of Shen Shixing except for sleek, making Shen’s image more real and plump.
