The Influence Of Emotional Working Memory On Selective Attention

The relationship of emotion and cognition is the issuethought always by thehuman and at the same time being explained exactly,esp. hardly, bypsychologists.The empirical study of this relationship step few for its complexity andparticularity.In the nerly two decades,the psychology studiers put a lot ofexperimental research on the attention-cognition characters of personally emotionalinformation,and get some advance.This artical concerns on the attention character ofpersonally emotional infomation,esp, the enhancement and deflection of the personalattention on the negative emoniton,and it discusses the effects of emotional workingmemory on the selective attention after experiments.The testees are undergraduates, asked for completing the following missions:cognition of emotional words, gender judgement of objective face, and re-cognition ofemotional words.The experiments take both paradigm of emotional start-on andre-cognition,trying to explore the effects of the emotional stimulus on the genderjudgement of objective face. Its results show that,1, the reaction time is shortest onthe condition of clues effectiveness,no matter of both positiveness and fearness ofemotional valence.and,2, the gender judgement reaction time of objective face islongest on fear-emotional start-on, and is shortest on sad-emotional start-on, no matterthe validity of clues.and,3, on the baseline of clues,the judgement reaction time ofobjective face on positive-neutral emotion stimulus is longer significantly than onfear-sad emotional stimulus.and,4, the significance occures in the gender of objectivefaces, not in gender.and,5, the significance occures in the earings and lossness if indifferent emotional valence.To sum up,the emotional stimulus perseved in workingmemory would make effect on the gender of objective faces, whcich represents theattention deflection.Because of the cognition occupation of fear-emotion。...
