"Bird Mother" Creation Elaboration Report

From September 2014 to March 2015,I took the charge of Film Editor of documentary the Guardians of Kiwis, and fully involved in the preliminary planning, filming, post-editing and film release, in which I acquired precious experiences and lessons. The Guardians of Kiwis, a documentary of people, chiefly tells a story of how hard efforts mothers of these handicapped children made to let them adapt to the normal social life. By characterizing two pairs of mothers and children to depict the ensemble of this special group, the film is dedicated to awaken the public to give more tolerance and love to the disadvantaged groups. This article mainly describes editing, and rethink through the difficulties and deficiencies during the creation process, summarizing the experiences and lessons.
