"My Satirical Pieces" - Prokofiev 's Creative Analysis And Performance Study

This paper takes the piano music of OP. 17 Sarcasms as the study object. Sarcasms is the work of Prokofiev, who was a composer and pianist of the Soviet Union. The paper mainly analyzes and discusses the compositional techniques and performance of this work.Firstly, the author studies and analyzes the compositional background of the work. Secondly, the paper analyzes and studies how this music expresses the musical image of Sarcasms through different creative techniques in the second chapter. Thirdly, the paper mainly illustrates the performance of this work. Based on the performance of the work, the author discusses the key points in touch key, dynamics, tone, pedal etc., and explores how to accurately express the musical image of the work. Last but not the least, the fourth chapter analyzes technological difficulties and proposes some practice methods.The author hopes that this paper could provide some beneficial reference for people to better understand the creative features of Prokofiev’s Sarcasms and perform it.
