The democracy ideology of Tocqueville is the important theoretical foundation of modern democracy system; there are many different ideologist with the democracy ideology to unscramble the democracy ideology of Tocqueville ideology before, basing on the unique perspective of cultural philosophy to dig out the cultural dimensions of the concept of democracy and custom to explain his democratic ideology. The core of freedom and equality is the democracy ideology of Tocqueville, with the view of cultural philosophy, the main of democracy from the system which reflect the culture and custom culture the two aspects. Democracy itself is not perfect, it is likely to be turned into the consequences of majority tyranny and in order to avoid the happening of this kind of situation, you need to cultivate a citizen’s democratic spirit and give citizens the autonomous power to ensure effective operation of the democratic rights. The democracy ideology of Tocqueville is the precious wealth in the history of democratic ideology, through this paper develops a new way to study the democracy ideology of Tocqueville; in democratic concept of cultural interpretation can for the future study of Tocqueville thought is a little enlightenment.
