Metadiscourse takes speech as social interaction, which is in order to make the view of author is easy to accept by the readers and to control the communicative purpose for providing a new way.This paper analyzed the present situation of the domestic and international academic journals and meta discourse research through the literatre review and them put the Hyland’s theory as the theoretical model. This thesis takes two famous academic journal as examples, chooses 30 abstracts from Journal of Pragmatics and Science as data, which are of the most popular linguistic and scientific magazines. The writer collected the authentic data from issue two of 2012 to issue one of 2013. With the help of software, it analysis the data based on the theory of corpus linguistics. This study reflected the quantity result in order to guide the practice in related subjects with the result of our research.Through the analysis, it is found that the difference of meta discourse in the different disciplines of journal articles is significant and this is also the innovation of this study. These differences has reference significance to the writing teaching. At the same time, this study has the important reference value to the professional foreign language teaching and research.
