On The Narrative Significance Of Juvenile Novels

The topic on Young Adult Television takes an important position in drama category across the world. In United States, Young Adult television drama is used as an independent research.In the early 90 s, China has gone through the creation of television show peak but soon it quiets down.In recent years, the quantity of the Chinese Young Adult television production has become fewer, the quality isn’t high either.The documentation on Young Adult television can generally be found in children’s drama or children development television drama in research.This article hopes on top of the basic concept of Young Adult television, start specializing in a research on the topic of adolescent narrative television drama from a narrative perspective. In this paper, in addition to the introduction and conclusion, divided into four parts to describe this topic.The first chapter describes types of young adult television shows. Both sections of this chapter discuss the status of young adult television research in China and the young adult television current development in the United States then compare and discuss them both. Furthermore, an outstanding young American television show "Glee" is being used as the research object.The second chapter is based on television show "Glee", to study the narrative content of the main manifestations of adolescent subjects,from three different aspects of Young Adult television: adolescent youth, growth, and ideal to show the content in a comprehensive analysis. The third chapter focuses in "Glee" as model for the study,by analyzing specific context in young teen television shows, what are the narrative conflicts.Based on an individual case this paper discusses from three different aspects separately: internal conflict, external conflict, as well as what both internal and external conflicts lead to, to pursue an additional analysis. Chapter Four mainly examines behind the says success of American teen television show "Glee".The show enlightens the Chinese young adult television topics. The writer hopes that through more research, sorting and analysis from years of the Chinese young adult television in silence, there will have some more theoretical studies and practical significance meanings.
