Analysis And Research On The "Night Of Desert" In Mixed Singing

The chorus work “A Night in the Desert” created by the composer Shang De Yi and the lyricist Shao Yong Qiang is a four-part chorus with a mixed-sound characteristic. This work belonging to Shang De Yi is one of “the western chorus” in the series of “the Western-style” and it has won many awards at home and abroad.This work describes “ the ship of the desert”— the camel, in a night with sandstorm and no moon or stars, some teams of camels trekking in the rambling desert,regardless of the sandstorm. It shows the national spirit of the working people in an anthropomorphic technique, being fearless of danger and difficulty,fighting hard.The author has analyzed and carried a research on the mixed-sound chorus—“A Night in the Desert” carefully and seriously, by searching lots of literature, studying the theory and being based on lots of practice.
