A Study On The Religious Education Policy Of The Israeli Labor Party Government (1948-1976)

As we all know, The Israel Labour Federal Party had been in government for29years from1948to1976. Based on the nationalism conception, the political power and national system was strengthened. When the government planed the religious education, the Labour Party took various social elements into consideration and took measures gradually for the religious education policy making. Thus, the religious schools has gained great right of self-determination. It showed the balance between secular school education and religious education with the purpose of maintaining the stability and development of Israel with Jews predominating.Actually, religious educational policy is the solution of Jews educational problems,which not only influnces Irael’s politics,economy,and religious relationship greatly,but also opens the first page of Irael’s national religious education. Meanwhile,the the Labour Party’s educational policy broke the monopoly of secular education. To some extent, the policy promoted the mixture of the plural society and its development.Because of the religious educational policy implementation, the privilege of the religious party has been strengthened and it also helps inherit the Jews culture,enhance national cohesion,and set moral standard.Although the Labour Party educational policy has its unique characteristic, it must be in difficulties in order to adapt themselves to the modernization completely.
