With the increase of foreign business communication, the importance of business English writing ability is more and more highlighted. Both the content and form of writing can affect the progress of the Business English activities to a certain degree. Therefore in the teaching of Business English writing, it is necessary to pay attention to both the form and content, and let the students master the basic principles of Business English writing, to ensure that the future business activities in English communication can be carried out successfully and smoothly.Since Business English writing ability is so important, it is necessary for teachers to take effective methods to improve the students’Business English writing ability. After careful analysis of Business English writing requirements, it is not difficult to find that its genre is very different from other ordinary thesis writing, and Business English writing has its specific format. In business communication, both parties shall strictly abide by the standard format, and genre standard format directly affects the quality of the writing, so this research tries to prove that using genre analysis in Business English writing teaching is a technique to improve the students writing ability.This study assumes that genre analysis can promote students’ Business English writing ability in the experiment. To set up two classes in the experiments, the experimental classes begin to use genre analysis in Business English writing teaching, while the control class did not adopt this method, usually using different methods to teach. The specific teaching steps of genre analysis are as follows:first, providing two or three model essays for analysis; then, asking students to sum up basic core move-steps of the same genre; thirdly, asking the students to finish a writing task according to the summed steps out of the same type genre. Experiment lasted three months, finally there is test of writing levels for two classes, and it is found the experimental class’s writing strength is significantly better than the control class, specific performance embodied in various aspects:structure, wording, tense, sentence patterns, etc. Experimental instruments include pre-test, post-test, questionnaire, observation, interviews and other methods to adjust the experimental process, ensure the smooth progress of the experiment, making the relevant adjustment in the process of experiment according to the survey of the students’specific conditions, removing some existing unreasonable factors, and the overall situation of experiment keeps steady.The research has great significance to the Business English writing teaching. In the future Business English teaching, teachers can improve students’ ability of Business English writing through genre analysis, preparing students for their future business activities.
