With the development of the times, the progress of science and technology,increase the types of contemporary art, art form, performance art, installation artseems to occupy the emerging pop art trend. Compared with the popular image,symbolic or idea of creation, the mention of realistic painting this ancient paintingstyle seems to have become even a realist painter synonymous with "conservative".Especially in the information explosion today, big data era of rapid development, thelow efficiency of realistic painting in a leisurely manner, it seems more and more tokeep up with the pace of the times and despised by the world. So the author thinksthat, in the context of contemporary visual culture spread of the image, meaning anddirection should be re mining classical painting materials and techniques in thepresent.This paper deals with the language of classical oil painting materials andtechniques of composition form belongs to the language of painting, through the studyon them deeply, trying to combine the classical realism oil painting techniques andcomposition in the form of language expression art of the new production process,and to experience their own oil paintings as the analysis object, seeking anotherpainting the mode of expression, open up a new path for the future creation.This paper is divided into three parts:The first chapter, the author first discusses the realistic significance of the studyof classical painting materials and techniques for the moment, and classical paintingmaterials and techniques of Claude Yvel I, analysis, summed up the three steps: screensubstrate production, media use, indirectly drawing oil. On this basis, combined withmy oil painting creation practice, analyzes the unique technique characteristics ofapplication of these three steps and concrete embodiment.The second chapter, the author discusses the diversity of oil paintings with theform of language, to the works of Avigdor Arikha as an example to analyze thecomposition of formal language, summarizes the typical language composition form Arikha works: graphic composition, corner type composition and blank typecomposition. And with his recent years of artistic creation, discusses the formationthrough repeated experiments in the research of Arikha composition in the process ofpersonal insights.The third chapter, through the analysis of classical materials and techniques ofoil painting of the two painters and composition in the form of language, thinking andunderstanding of the individual to join, create grope and fusion in his paintings.Through the art works, on the one hand, classical painting materials and techniques asclear creative techniques; on the other hand, to explore the whole picture compositionstructure strength. This paper briefly describes the creation process, fully aware of thetechniques and composition of painting language thinking has a significant supportingrole. Therefore, creative practice in the future, will continue on the two aspects ofclassical materials and techniques of oil painting and contemporary composition inthe form of language research and many attempts.
