Research On Contemporary Globalization From The Perspective Of Marx 's World History Theory

Human society has entered into a world of contemporary globalization in the latter half of the 20 th century. As a new phenomenon, globalization not only brought a profound influence on human’s life and the society’s development, but also caused a series of new problems. If we want to keep wisdom and take right measures in the process of the contemporary globalization, we must rely on the corresponding scientific theory. While the Marx’s theory of world history is a scientific theory about the prediction of the development of human history in the 19 th century, it is a theoretical summary on the development of the whole world since the late 15 th century. Although formed in the capitalism’s free competition era when the globalization has not yet fully developed, but it is a deep and profound theory and has an important value on the research of the contemporary globalization. This article is precisely under the guide of Marx’s theory of world history, and take a research on the basic theory and some important practical problems of the contemporary globalization.Based on reality and absorbing the predecessors’ excellent results, This article take several kinds of research methods to study the contemporary globalization guided by the Marx’s theory of world history, such as the methods of literature analysis, the unity of history and logic, comparative study, interdisciplinary study, and so on.Besides the introduction, the thesis is divided into four parts. The first part describes the formation and the basic content of Marx’s theory of world history. Marx thought that the root cause of the formation of the world history is the extensive development of productivity and social contact, the world history is an inevitable product of the long-term development of the capitalism, while there exist significant defects during the process of the capitalism’s creating the world history, so with the development of world history, we will eventually enter into the society of communist. The second part expounds the current research of the contemporary globalization which called the mainstream theory of globalization and the new “left” theory of globalization. The third part is the focus of this article, under the guide of Marx’s theory of world history, we have a further study on the basic theoretical problems of contemporary globalization. This chapter discusses the relationship between the world history and the contemporary globalization at first and then study the concept, essence and basic characteristics of the contemporary globalization, it also tells the difference between Marx’s theory of world history and the theory of world history in contemporary globalization composed by the western world. In the last part of this article, we have a preliminary research on major problems of the contemporary globalization under the guide of Marx’s theory of world history.
