Milan Kundera grew up in the war and totalitarian political environment, and he was forced into exile abroad after the age of 45. Because of these sufferings,he has obvious national suffering complex for his weakness country betrayed and bullied in the world political map.We can feel obvious concern for his weakness countiy’s fate from his novel works.Seeing from his own and his motherland’s encounter,he has a profund experience for the weak position which exists generally in human society,meanwhile this period of persecution experience also formed the individual traumatic memories.Kundera merged country suffering and individual injured complex into his novels,and created many weak character images with the independent and consicious individual spite.These images are trapped in their own life situation for many reasons,but they all showed clear spiritual pursuit and reflection on the current status of the life. What action will the weak people choose in the difficult position? And whether they can find spiritual end-result after the freedom of action extended from the similar plight? Infinite possibilities excavated from his experimental the self, Kundera found infinite vitality of the weakness.Although weakness was a sad situation and unpleasant emotions, we can see our shrinking soul through weakness.The main body status of individual emotional value can get return through weak, so wo can own a world of peaceful soul.In this paper,I will summary a few typical weak character images in Kundera’s novels,analyze the era of Kundera’s living environment and the individual life experience,and explore the causes of formation of the weakness subject in Kundera’s novels,and analyze its aesthetic value and the influence of his weakness subject.These will help me have a more profound understanding to Kundera’s weakness subject.
