A Study On The Behavior Of The Tang Dynasty And Its Related Problems

Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty, which records lineage, native place, age, and activities of the dead, is a kind of Literature Style. It is usually written by students and former subordinate or relatives of the biographical master, which is used mainly for studying posthumous name, writing tablet records and history biographical. The majority remained Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty were written by the people of Tang dynasty, so they do have high historical value. And as the first biography after biographical master died, Posthumous Biography is more original than epitaph and the two Books of Tang, so that they can prove the history and make up the history. At the moment, the study about Posthumous Biography in academic circles still rest on literary aspects, and it still has not comprehensive and systematic treatise from the historic angle yet. Therefore, the author selects Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty as the research object, collecting and arranging relative data, and fully use available academic achievements, studying the preserving and missing, and the time of writing in Tang dynasty, studying biographical master and writing with relationship between them, and compared study Posthumous Biography, epitaph, and history biography, analyzing the similarities and differences as well as the reason in order to show the historical value of the Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty.This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is mainly about introducing the origin and development of the Posthumous Biography, and the missing situation, and textual research writing time of the Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty, so as to analyze it and overview of the Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty. The second chapter is about study on the biographical master and writing. Mainly by analyzing the differences and similarities and finding the cause of their official regulation and practical biographical master and writing, as well as trying to research the relationship between them.The third chapter is about historical value of the Posthumous Biography in Tang dynasty. Trying to compare Posthumous Biography with epitaph and history biography, investigating the value of historical material sources about Posthumous Biography, and analyzing the value of making up the history in the second part. The fourth chapter tries to compare Posthumous Biography with epitaph and history biography, analyzing the phenomenon of truthfully records, obscure mentioning issues and overstate virtues in the Posthumous Biography. Summarizing the main points of the full text, and try to put forward the question of history writing, in order to have a correct understand of the value of Posthumous Biography, epitaph, and history biography in Tang dynasty at the end of the article.
