| Under the political, economic, cultural and historical background of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the thesis probes into the causes, culture, and content of Li Yu’s musical thought, and analyzes its significance, based on the music works of Li Yu. This thesis intends to give the readers a more comprehensive understanding of the musical ideas of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and explores the new study areas of Li Yu’s musical thought.This thesis consists of five parts. The first part is the introduction, including writing purpose, research status and methods. The second part studies the background that formed Li Yu’s musical thought. The third part discusses the humanistic background of Li Yu’s musical thought. The fourth part specifically explores the inner link between Li Yu’s musical thought and humanism. The last part delves into the impact of Li Yu’s musical thought.The thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter one is introduction. It mainly introduces the research significance, status and methods of Li Yu’s musical thought.Chapter two mainly discusses the background of Li Yu’s musical thought from four aspects, including macro and micro, and time and region. Macro aspect is primarily a social existence, including political, economic, and cultural aspects. Li Yu was in a changing period of Ming and Qing dynasties, and the biggest characteristic of economy during that period was the booming of the commodity economy. The cultural aspect is mainly reflected in the conflict of the Song-Ming neo-confucianism and the mind-philosophy, the changing of people’s values during the period of late Ming dynasty, and the development of literature. All of these have certain influence to the establishment of Li Yu’s musical thought. The Micro aspects mainly studies the changing thoughts of Li Yu through his growing experience. Such as sticking to his official career during the Ming dynasty, resenting the imperial examination during Qing dynasty, and beginning to create and manage the folk literature. The era mainly focuses on the historical situation of that period, which is the changing dynasty of Ming and Qing. As for the regional issues, the thesis studies Li Yu’s thought by delving into the environment where Li yu was born.Chapter three introduces the humanistic background in Li Yu’s musical thought, and aims to describe the humanistic thought contained in the musical thoughts. First, the thesis sorts out the humanism theory, deepens the characteristics of humanism in Li Yu’s musical thoughts, and then clears up the time connotation by contrasting Chinese and western cultures. Li Yu’s musical thought mainly reflected in the works which revealed his love view, and many women images that created in the drama. The thesis mainly explores from these two aspects.Chapter four focuses on the humanistic color of Li Yu’s musical thought from the of comedy. First, it analyzes the comedy techniques in Li Yu’s creation technique, and then clarifies the difference between Li yu’s comedy creation technique and the aesthetic sense of comedy. In his plays, not only the surface layer of the comedy techniques is being used, but also, from an aesthetic sense, his plays have deeper layer of comedy, and the deeper layer of comedy is the embodiment of humanistic thoughts. In addition, the ’Jiqu’ theory is an important technique of the comedy creation, and at the same time it also represents the awakening of the humanism.Chapter five mainly discusses the impact of Li Yu’s musical thought. The impact of his musical thought is not in the form of pure theory, but includes in his works and accepted by the contemporary and later generations with the perceptual images in his works. The impact can be divided into two parts, the impact on contemporary readers and the impact on later generations. And in terms of region, the impact includes the impact on Chinese culture and overseas. |
