Research On Local Marriage Custom Culture In Shanxi Province

Marriage culture is the epitome of the development of history for a nation or a region. It is an important part of long-standing Chinese traditional culture. A complete cultural system has been established during development process in last thousands of years. This system involves all the aspects about marriage of Chinese people. Deep cultural psychology of the people is reflected. Marriage culture is the treasure of the Chinese nation culture. It is an important part of it. However, many aspects of our country have profoundly changed, such as the politics, economy, culture and education with the deepening of the reform and opening up and the continuous development of market economy. At the same time, change will continue. Under the tide of this kind of culture, any place and any culture are inevitably involved. Of course, marriage culture is no exception.Aimed at the actual situation, the author find and read many articles of marriage culture through literature retrieval. Through in-depth study and analysis of the results of this study, the author found that in recent years, lots of researchers attached great importance to marriage problems and achieved some results. However, about the results of Shan xi province marriage custom are not many. The existing results are limited to describe marriage custom. The specific analysis of some domestic abuse phenomena existing in the marriage customs is not involved. Certainly, the methods of solution are not also put forward. Existing results can not meet the requirement of development. Under this situation, the research of Shan xi province marriage custom should be strengthened from the new perspective to serve for the marriage custom tomorrow.Marriage custom belongs to a social pattern. The change has been affected deeply by the economic and social development and cultural change. In different historical stages of development, the different characteristics have been presented. Therefore, on the basis of literature study and field investigation, this paper expounds from during the period of the republic of China in the late Qing dynasty to the change process of Shanxi Province since the founding of new China. Through the analysis and thinking of the change process, the author draws the conclusion: Along with society’s development and progress, Shan xi Province both in form and content has made great progress. At the same time, ideology and life style of people is also changing. Some unenlightened marriage ideas and behaviors are reserved and inherited. This article discusses how to build up enlightened and upward marriage culture of Shan xi Province, for domestic abuse phenomenon in Shanxi Province, combining the requirement of the construction of socialist harmonious society. The measures include six aspects, that are the marriage morality of Marxist classical writers, strengthening the marriage customs research, the inheriting excellent marriage customs culture, advanced culture leading, civil administration acting, promoting the construction of the rule of law and extensively propagandizing marriage customs culture. The author hopes Marriage custom in Shan xi Province to develop in the positive of direction. It can play positive guiding role to make due contributions to the construction of socialist harmonious society in the process of social development.
