| This paper is focused on Kunning Gong, take the reconstruction, interior furnishings, shamanism sacrifice activities and wedding ceremony as the specific objects of the research. Different from previous domestic “sinicisation†perspective in the research of the history of the Qing Dynasty, this paper uses the "new Qing history" perspective. Based on the analysis of changes in the architecture and function of Kunning Gong, the author tried to discuss and analyze the rulers of the Qing Dynasty’s national and multicultural identity.The paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter One discussed the changes and retention in Kunning Gong building, and then analyzes the embodiment of the Manchu characteristics and the Han cultural identity. The second chapter discussed the evolution of furnishings in Kunning Gong and its display of Manchu, Han and Tibetan Buddhism characteristics. The third chapter discussed the shamanic sacrifice activities in Kunning Gong and its diverse rituals. The fourth chapter stated the wedding ceremony of the Qing emperors and the queens of the Qing Dynasty’s multi-ethnic identities. Finally, the conclusion part of this paper discussed the meaning of the above changes in Kunning Gong for the regime of the Qing Dynasty, the imperial power and the Manchu ethnicity, and pointed out the core and guidelines of the ruler of the Qing Dynasty’s multicultural identity. |
