Learning strategy is always one of the key issues which researchers pay close attention to. Under the influence of research of overseas learning strategies, lots of results have also been obtained about Chinese learning strategy. However, there is still little research on oral Chinese learning strategy, especially case studies. On the basis of quantitative research on oral Chinese learning strategy of preparatory students abroad in Shanghai Normal University, this thesis specifically records the interview of 15 individual preparatory students abroad on different oral Chinese levels from different countries about their oral Chinese learning strategies. In this way, usage condition of oral Chinese learning strategies of preparatory students abroad in Shanghai Normal University is given in-depth insight both universally and particularly.This thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 is introduction, which is further divided into four parts, including significance of the subject, overview of research on language leaning strategies, theories and research methods adopted in this thesis. Chapter 2 is about the designing and implementation of questionnaire about oral Chinese learning strategies. Chapter 3 is to analyze the questionnaire results about oral Chinese learning strategies, including the usage condition of overall oral Chinese learning strategies and the usage condition of learning strategies in different ages, genders and nationalities. Chapter 4 is case studies about oral Chinese learning strategies of preparatory students abroad. Chapter 3 and chapter 4 are the keys of this thesis. On the basis of the former three chapters, some teaching and learning suggestions are offered to preparatory students abroad in chapter 5. Chapter 6 is a conclusion, which mainly summaries the whole contents of this thesis and points out some inadequate aspects.
