Research On The Thought Of Retrospective Reasoning

Abduction reasoning is a way to generate new knowledge and scientific which can provide people with a method to explain unknown phenomenon and look for the causes of the phenomenon.With the continuous development of abduction reasoning,its position in various fields is rising along,and those fields are Philosophy of science,cognitive science and Science Artificial Intelligence.Therefore,abduction reasoning be concerned as a logic relatively hot research topic in recent years.Scholars focused on the theory of abduction reasoning,but lack of examining the origin,development, change generated of abduction reasoning.This article research on the development and changes of abduction reasoning from the nature and theoretical background of it.Then establish Magnani epistemological model based on this research review.Thesis consists of five chapters:The first chapter discusses the main properties of abduction,gives a brief review of the theoretical background of it,which are abduction thinking of ancient Greece,Hume’s discussion of causation and comparing with the abduction reasoning of Peirce’s,and Kant’s thought of abduction.The second chapter introduces The Abduction founder Peirce’s Abduction thought,expanding mainly from the content, nature and other aspects of Peirce’s doubts about the abduction reasoning.The third chapter discuss Hansen abduction thought and the relationship between his and Peirce’s thought,the criticism and respond that Hansen abduction faced to.The fourth chapter research on a branch of abduction reasoning,the reasoning thought of best description, example of Lipton reasoning thought of best description.The fifth chapter introduces the latest abduction thought,The Magnani abduction thought.
