The Application And Development Of Erhu In The Opera

This master’s thesis selects the application and development of Erhu in Yuju( Henan Opera) accompaniment band as the main line and makes a narration by using the method of literature retrieval, practice research, contrast research, comprehensive analysis and other methods. The thesis summarizes a lot of materials to describe the historical evolution process of the Yuju accompaniment band, and uses a large number of familiar arias from Yuju to illustrate the specific application of Erhu in several aspects, as in the short interludes before or between verses, the tunes for stringed instruments, etc. The thesis refers to the common skills and related knowledge about Erhu through comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences between Banhu and Erhu, and also replenishes materials and looks forward to Erhu’s prospective future in the band of Yuju by quoting numerous references.
