Double bass has developed for more than three centuries in European since its origination in Baroque period; its various aspects are more perfect and mature relatively with numerous excellent performers and educators, and rich as well as complete preserved data, among which several outstanding double bass educators compiled gradus while only few compiled systematic textbooks, such as Lajos Montag’s “Double bass Course”, Simandl’s “Double bass Course” and Findeisen’s “Double bass Course” that elaborated in this article. Double bass entered into China after the Second World War, because its rise and development is less than one hundred years in China, the experience is insufficient and there is certain gap with western countries; along with the “older” characteristic of double bass enlightenment in China: being older as a beginner with short curriculum, it caused that some learners are anxious for success, so they adopted the pencil-pushing practice method, which indicates that their unsubstantial basic skill resulted serious barrier to their future study. Aimed at the universality of this phenomenon, the author discussed about the study path of double bass performer by selecting “Findeisen Double bass Gradus”, starting with the view of performer, combining with actual practice and cooperating with theoretical research, which offered the method and thought to music teaching and practice, and academic foundation to practitioners for their music practice...
