In today’s world, the trend of economic integration and culture diversification is becoming more and more evident. Understanding each other and making common development has become cultural consensus of different countries and areas. But in the geographical environment, historical conditions, social systems and other factors under the influence, as the "other", Chinese culture has a long way to go to be in-depth understanding for many western audiences. It can be said, how to effectively disseminate Chinese culture, promote cultural exchanges, promote cultural identity and improve the well-being of the world is the biggest problem that Chinese civilization is facing in 21 st century.Filial piety is one flourished flower of Chinese traditional culture, and an important symbol distinguished from other countries. For the Chinese language teaching which takes spreading Chinese culture as its task, filial piety is indispensable. The present researches of Chinese culture teaching which involve the filial piety are not many. As the most important Chinese virtue, filial piety is supposed to appear in Chinese language teaching. This not only helps students understand China culture, promote language learning, but also conducive to the Chinese culture to go further. Filial piety can let the world know us, at the same time, promote world cultural prosperity. The topic takes filial piety as the research object for the first time. The paper makes the comparison between Chinese and Western filial piety cultures from the aspect of birth, and from these four aspects of geography, economy, society and attitude to explore origins of differences between Chinese and Western culture of filial piety. This paper compares the connotation of filial piety between China and Western and compares seven connotation of Chinese filial piety and four connotation of Western’s. Then it summarizes four differences to make the characteristics of China filial piety clear. Then from the interdisciplinary perspective, using the communication theory, according to the comparison conclusions, the paper makes four communication strategies of purpose, content, method and cultural attitude. Finally spread strategies are applied to the design of teaching plan, thus the paper completes the transition from theory to practice, from macroscopic to microcosmic penetrating research. Hope to provide reference for the spread of the culture of filial piety in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
