| Based on Relevance Theory, taking Chinese and English extracts of different genres as examples, the thesis aims to find out how new information can be added into the sentence from the perspective of human logic. By analyzing extracts of poems, proses, novels, dramas, folk writings and social network writings, there are nine ways to add new information into the sentence, which are reoccurrence, explanations, cause and effect relation, comparison, hyponymy, human common sense, split and integration, logic correlation of different fields, homophones. From the perspective of human logic, these ways to add new information can be divided into three groups. The first group is horizontal, including reoccurrence, explanation, cause and effect relation, comparison. The second group is vertical, including hyponymy and human common sense. The third group is crossed by using invented medium information, including split and integration, logic correlation of different fields, homophones. |
