Concerto No.2 in A major For Trombone is a very successful trombone concerto created by Eugene Reiche(1878—1946) who is a German composer, trombone player and educator, and it can be called as one of classic trombone concertos in modern times. When it spread so far, it is widely treated by modern trombone players as a common concerto of concert playing. The author studied this concerto in three parts. The first part introduced the composer’s lifetime and the creation background of Concerto No.2 in A major For Trombone, so as to understand its style and ideological connotation. The second part comprehensively and carefully analyzed the musical form structure and modal tonality of the whole concerto. The third part, on the basis of grasping the style and structure of the whole concert, analyzed its key points and difficulties from the perspective of performance technique.
