Folk-belief is a kind of very ancient and complex phenomenon of human culture, hasa long history and profound social foundation, since today is still active in the dailylife of people. Especially since the 1980 s, folk-belief in public life, since the recovery shows strong vitality and strong adaptability, and to affect People’s Daily life andproduction again.When generally referring to folk-belief and social relations, most people on folk-belief discuss the social and popular impact. Darwin’s natural selection and survival of the fittest do not only apply to the biological world, also apply to the social life, so what is it that makes the folk-belief in the historical process of thousands years continuously adapt to the life of people, and be able to come down. The transitional degree of modern society is very quickly, in this paper, using the folk-belief and rituals of Liulin County as an example, explores and analyses the changes of the social and popular life and the influences of folk-belief.The first chapter of this article through the current collective sacrifice、personal and familial sacrifice and the detailed description of clergies of Liulin County, says the polytheism of folk-belief and the secular lives of folk-belief of Liulin County. The second chapter, through rituals of popular life and the records of beliefs, illustrates that the Liulin people’s life is spending in the beliefs and rituals, rituals and beliefs are a portrayal of people’s life. The third chapter analyzes the deity system of folk-belief of Liulin County, and makes this historical analyses for the present situation of folk-belief of Liulin County. The fourth chapter through the natural environment、the national concept、the national sacrifices and the social life’s changes for the role of folk-belief, talks about that the changes of social space brings the changes of the folk-belief and rituals. The fifth chapter, through the folk-belief in the status of popular lives, talks about this inner power of folk-belief with the social space’s changes.This paper, through the changes of social space to the influences of folk-belief, understands the present situation of folk-belief, thus better understands this interactive relationships between folk-belief and society.
