The Practice And Cognition Of "Northern Shaanxi Impression" Series From Sketch To Creation

Sketching and creation have been an eternal topic in the history of painting. Whether it is the western painting or Chinese painting, whether it is the painting of landscape, flowers or characters, they can not be separated from the sketching. Painting has become an important means of contemporary painters to improve and perfect painting language. In recent years, more and more people start looking for new ideas for sketch and creation and reflecting on sublimating the sketch by using our paintings. It has become a trend to transfer from sketches to creation in contemporary art world. Sketching and creation are complementary and inseparable. If the relation between the two art forms are clearly understood, students will carry out artistic processing for what they sawn and gained in sketch so that the purpose of artistic creation is realized, which will provide great help for us in the future in terms of painting. It is also of undeniable value and significance for the innovation and development of landscape painting.First of all, this paper elaborates the understanding of some regular laws of contemporary landscape painting. What is more, combined with specific practical experience of creation process from sketching to creation and some feelings of creation of impression series in Northern Shanxi, the author describes the problems encountered in the process of transferring from sketching to creation and puts forward some solutions. The practical process and perception make me have a deeper understanding of transferring from sketch to creation. In the process of exploration and practice, the author also encounters some problems. Whether it is composition of layout, painting language or design, they are all the key problems in the process of sketching being transferred to painting. As a student whose major is painting, we should be more active to explore deeply into the nature; perceive life and continuously enhance the aesthetic consciousness in the future artistic creation process. We are also required to integrate our feelings and ideas of painting in painting process so that we can exercise our aesthetic characteristics in nature and form our unique painting style.
