| Vocal music is an art form combined with art study, linguistics, physics, physiology and psychology. All experiences of learning vocal music from the time of beginning always can not avoid the functions and influences from psychological elements and the musical instruments are closely connected with the body of individuals, so the knowing of psychological phenomena occurring in the process of practicing vocality is a compulsory course for any vocal learner. The study of psychological process is certainly concerned with the intelligence and non-intelligence factors, the former of which is an operation system of cognition, the latter of which is the force to develop the cognition system, and the two factors are inseparable, interacting and mutual promoting. The practice of vocal music is a process in which the intelligence and non-intelligence work in common and the achievement is the results of the two factors’ coordination and cooperation. This thesis conducts a survey of over 140 undergraduates from grade one to grade four who major in musical education in a university by questionnaire and the findings show that the non-intelligence factor is a spur of intelligence one and the factors are equally important for a vocal learner. |
