An Empirical Study On The Crime Of Attacking Police In Recent Years In China

Assaulting police cases has been increasing in recent years. It has become one of the focus issues of the society. There are more obstructions of police’s enforcement duty, and violence degree has become higher and higher. Among these sudden crowded assaulting police cases, most are violent ones. According to the Public Security Department statistics:from2001to2005, public security officials enforcing their duty were assaulted by violence, more than300died and168,000got injured."Always bleed and sacrifice everyday" has become portraiture of the occupation of the police. Assaulting police cases have become an important factor of police dead and injured. It not only hurts police’s physical and mental health but changes and insults the authority of enforcing the law. To avoid this, we should make a systematic analysis about current assaulting police cases.This essay analyzed a lot of typical assaulting police cases in our country from positive angle, and based on it, the author analyzed the present situation and causes of assaulting police systematically from social aspects, public security agencies, self-construction of the police and perfection of law systems. At last, the author brought forward the strategy to solve the problem, and stressed that it is not urgent to set "assaulting police crime". It is vital to improve the law and regulations, to enhance the occupation education of police officials and guide the correct public opinion declaration.
