A Study On The Construction Of Rural Culture In The Early Period Of New China (1949-1956)

After the founding of new China, the Communist Party of China is confronted with thereality of political, economic, cultural and other fields more complicated, especially in theaspect of culture, cultural and ideological occupy each field of the society, how to build the ruralsocial development needs of the socialist culture becomes the urgent task. With Mao Zedong asthe core of leadership of the party and state leaders of the first generation began to probe deeplyinto the rural cultural construction, and puts forward a series of effective theory of culturalconstruction, completed the top design primary theoretical frame for the construction ofcontemporary Chinese cultural construction of socialism theory system. The rural culturalconstruction in the new period had many new problems, the vast rural area especiallyunderdeveloped region’s cultural development there are different degrees of understanding,theshortage of funds, lack of talent, lack of activity phenomenon. Facing the increasinglyprominent problems, we should learn from the beginning of new China. The ChineseCommunist Party about the ideological and cultural construction in rural areas successfulpractices, to accelerate the construction of new rural culture to us, to create conditions for thecomprehensive construction of well-off society and building a harmonious society.This paper consists of introduction, text and epilogue three parts. Among them, theintroduction part mainly academic review. The text consists of four parts: the first part of theoverview about the rural culture construction. Firstly introduces the different understanding ofculture between Chinese and western scholars, which leads to the concepts of culture andcultural construction. Secondly illustrates the connotation of rural culture construction and itsmain content. Finally elaborated the significance of rural cultural construction of newcountryside construction. The second part to the beginning of the founding of new China tocarry out the historical background of rural culture construction. Mainly from the basic demandof social transformation, the requirement of the development of rural culture and the peasantsneed to analysis, reveals the founding of the party and government to promote the rural culturalconstruction in the early years of the background reasons. The third part expounds the concretepractice of the early cultural construction in rural areas the founding of new China and methods.In the countryside cultural reconstruction, reconstruction of concrete in advance, the communistparty of China has always been combined with the actual in the countryside, in the process ofpractice gradually form rich rural cultural construction thought and a set of effective methods.The fourth part focuses on analysis in the early days after foundation of the rural culturalconstruction for new countryside culture construction thought research of the theoreticalcontributions and practical value. The paper summarizes conclusion part briefly in this article.
