A Study On The Mechanism Of Public Opinion In The Growth Of Contemporary Chinese Civil Society

In recent years, along with the great changes that the reform and opening-up has brought about regarding politics, economy, society and ideology, the term of civil society has shifted from a sensitive theme to a hot topic of discussion. Local governments of all levels, especially Shenzhen which is celebrating the30th anniversary of the founding of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, promote positively the development of civil society. Civil society is, so to speak, starting to gain the momentum of development in our country. The development of civil society is incisively linked with the expression of public opinions. In one hand, the development of civil society demands full and truthful expression of public opinions. To some extend, the developing process of civil society is the process of smooth expression of public opinions. In another hand, the rapid development of expression of public opinions will effectively push forward the development of civil society. Therefore, taking Shenzhen as an example, this thesis analyzes present problems that occur during the process of expression of public opinions, on the basis of exploring the legitimacy of expression of public opinions during the development of civil society, and raises opinions and suggestions on three aspects of system basis, governmental support and self-organization basis for the improvement of expression of public opinions mechanism, so as to accelerate the development of civil society in our country.
