After the Justice and Development Party came into power in Turkey, with the fundamental starting point of the national interests, it started to implement relatively independent diplomatic policy and explore diversified diplomatic strategy. The strategic depth doctrine, which was suggested by Ahmet Davutoglu, the Foreign Minister of the Justice and Development Party, acts as the guiding principle in Turkey’s diplomatic policy amendments. It stresses on its own strategic positioning, and pursues the diplomatic strategy of "attaching equal importance to the East and the West". On the basis of maintaining the traditional strategic relationship with the Western countries, Turkey increasingly focuses on the development of the relationship with the Eastern countries, especially the Islamic countries in the Middle East, and it actively gets involve into the business inside the Middle East region. Meanwhile, it carries out the diplomatic cooperation at the global level and pursues the diplomatic strategy of sustainable development. The diplomatic policy of the Justice and Development Party displays the characteristics of independence, balance, and flexibility.After the Justice and Development Party came into power, there have been a series of changes in the field of politics, economy, religion, and national policy, and they, combined with the volatile international and regional external environment, have become the important influential factors in the diplomatic policy of the Justice and Development Party. After carding and researching the diplomatic policy of the Justice and Development Party after it came into power, this paper points out that although Turkey’s diplomatic policy is turning toward the Middle East and the Islamic countries, it has not completely deviated from the West.
