On The Effect Of Legal System On TV Majors

The sociologist Paul Lazarsfeld has once said: Media either can serve for the “good”, or can serve for the “evil”, if not properly controlled! The likelihood that it serves for the “evil” will be even greater. As one of the most important communication tools, the TV media offers a variety of conveniences for people’s daily life. But while some Legal TV programs report and promote certain cases in the recent years, too detailed disclosure of the crime details and criminal methods not only causing the ordinary people’s worries, but also making a small number of people who have potentially criminal conscious put into practice,and then inducing a large number of high similarity and high imitation cases to occur frequently, all of these not only affect the public’s social security,but also imply the lack of research on the theory of the criminal imitation, even more,the problem about the criminal learning and the criminal imitation have not yet induced the attention of the relevant authorities.Against this background, this paper would like to use the Legal TV programs’ too detailed disclosure of the crime details and the negative effects that it causes to the criminal imitation as example, use the criminal imitation and prevention as the research propositions and use maintaining the stability of the social order and reassuring the public as purpose,and demonstrate the necessity and feasibility that the Legal TV programs grasp the scale when reporting the criminal details by analyzing the role of the Legal TV programs played in the frequently occurred crime imitations as well as the positive and negative effects of this role, the author also would like to use this paper to seek the effective way to mimic and control this phenomenon and try to learn from useful experience both here and abroad,combine the actual situation in China to propose the suggestions in the aspects of legislation and law enforcement and try the best to reduce the negative effects that the Legal TV programs apply to the phenomenon of the criminal imitation to the minimum.
