Design And Implementation Of Online Book Sales Management System Based On AJAX

Using the current mainstream e-commerce model, combining the characteristics of book sales, an online book sales system has been designed and developed. Based on AJAX technology, a better management system for online book sales has been designed and implemented using JSP and MySQL database. The system implements category management of new books, out desk and, best-selling management functions and implements the functions of searching book in types, shopping/cash checkout,and register etc, which are the specific functions in common e-commerce website and e-book sales site.The system uses UML modeling methods to build the system function structure, takes full advantage of semantic definition of UML and features of OO to clarify business processes and working flow and reduce the risks of research topics as well; The system also packages AJAX functionality code, combining with JavaScript/ DOM/CSS, to static refresh web pages and reduce redundancy in the system code; uses Vector data type variable to store the transaction data by using the advantages that the variable can store objects and grow automatically; the system combines with Session to achieve the system's shopping function, so as to realize the whole sales modules; designs multi-field to realize the classification of several types of books, to achieve the books category management and searching, to enable users to locating the required books precisely.This paper discusses the preliminary problems of online book sales management system, gives a common method of system modeling and system development, which will be helpful for other online book sales sites and other similar products'e-commerce website.
