Measuring and testing technology has been playing an extremely important role on model industry. Measuring and controlling technique of non-electrical physical values are widely used throughout all fields of military and civil industries, such as aerospace, transportation, light industry, chemical industry, machinery manufacture, medicine and etc. Measuring and controlling technique takes an irreplaceable part in the development of science. Among these physical values, as force measurement is one of the essential parameters of determining the properties of material, elements and structure, force measuring technology has more direct significance on application and research than other physical values measurement. The thesis takes ink tackometer and auto-tensioner performance testing system as typical applications of the force sensor based viscous and elastic force measuring technology, and do lots of analyzing works in load mathematical models building, measuring equations developing, related experiments researching and measuring devices manufacturing. For ink tack measurement, tack measuring equation, which describes the relationship between tack force and structural and rheological parameters, is developed based on the analysis of Reed tack measuring mechanism. An important conclusion is drawn that tack force bears a linear relationship with roller speed and an exponential relationship with temperature. Related experiments'results agree this conclusion well. A force sensor based ink tackometer is developed, whose remarkable advantages are the promotions of the measuring and controlling precision and automation. Error researches of this new tackometer are done. For auto-tensioner performance measurement, opening and working tension force equations based on a hydraulic tensioner is developed, which demonstrate the influences of spring and hydraulic force on tension performance. The formation of the return displacement of the no-back mechanism is analyzed. A force sensor based auto-tensioner performance testing system is developed, which overcomes the problems of eccentric moment, motor overload and rod instability with using traditional linear mechanism here. Experiments'results agree the theoretical conclusion well. Contents of each chapter list as follows:In chapter 1, the development and characteristics of force measuring technology are introduced. The classification standard of viscous and elastic force measurements is proposed. Based on ink tackometer and auto-tensioner performance testing system, the trend of viscous and elastic force measurements is summarized. The introduction of three common types force sensor is taken. At last, the significance and main contents of research are summarized in brief. In chapter 2, the composition and rheological properties of ink are presented. The viscosity and tack models are analyzed and used for understanding the problems occurring in printing. The dynamical process of Reed tack measuring mechanism is studies and the tack measuring equation is developed with the selected suitable viscosity and tack models. An experimental system is built, and tests of roller speed-tack force, temperature-tack force and increase in tack are finished. A force sensor based ink tackometer with the remarkable promotions of the measuring and controlling precision and automation is developed, and system error is discussed with theoretical and experimental researches. In chapter 3, the application background and main function of auto-tensioner is presented. The typical structures of auto-tensioners with and without oil suppliers are introduced. Based on a screw auto-tensioner, the tension force and returning force mathematical models are built, and the content of the performance measurement is presented. A force based auto-tensioner performance testing system is developed, and a new type linear locating and loading mechanism is invented. At last, based on the screw auto-tensioner, the tension and no-back performances are measured, and the theoretical and experimental conclusions are discussed. All achievements of the thesis are summarized and the further research work is put forward in chapter 4.
