With the characteristics of anti-stealth, survivability and ect, the passive radar system based on opportunity illuminators arouses more and more attention and becomes a hot research aspect in radar research field. The signal detection system of passive radar with television audio signal as external illuminators is introduced in detail in this paper. Firstly, the general signal processing platform of passive radar system is presented, such as the features of ADSP TS201 chip, the design principle of multi-processor parallel processing board based on ADSP TS201 chips, and structure characteristics and communication mode of such system. Then theory and algorithm course of several major processing modules of the passive radar system are described separately, including clutter cancellation module, pulse compression module, and constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection module, and the implementation method, the problems appeared in the implementation process and corresponding settle schemes are stressed particularly, combining with practical issue. Finally, the data processing methods before flight path tracking are discussed briefly.
