| In our daily life, people often expect to distinguish different objects through degree adverbs, and this demand is also widely used in the field of product design. Considering that natural language understanding technology could improve the efficiency of product design, this article takes mechanical design as an example and applies the processing model of degree adverbs to natural language understanding system in this region for the purpose of understanding the mechanical product design needs by computer automatically.This paper introduces some technical thoughts with regard to the understanding of adverbs of degree in NLU and develops a unique method of knowledge representation, as guiding the description of concepts through ontology, constructing the relationship of concepts by theoretical concept of subordination, expressing concepts via frame representation. It designes an experimental model of the order and a volume difference formula for the degree adverbs through researching the economy principle of language of taking degree adverbs and the quantification significance when adjectives have been modified by them, combining the classification of degree adverbs in linguistics, centering on the word of compare, comparison object and the other object in a sentence. Based on these researching methods, it discusses the connection between the introduction of degree adverbs and objects differentiating, gives the overall processing model of"degree Adverbs +Adjective"in NLUS and builts framework for NLU in the area and its knowledge base. Ultimately, according to an instance of requirements analysis phase in product design, it achieves the comprehension of"degree Adverbs +Adjective"in the sphere and distincts objects. |
