With the rapid development of social information, the personal communication has attracted more attention. The second generation mobile communication network could not meet the growing demand not only in the spectrum resources, but also in the mobile business. Then smart antenna and multi-antenna technology have emerged which can improve the existing spectrum utilization rate and increase the channel capacity. Beamforming is a core of smart antenna signal processing technology.The beamforming technology is a spatial filter which can restrain the interference and noise of the received signals, enhance the expected element of the received signals. This paper researched the spectrum estimation and the order rule is added in the minimum power distortionless response (MVDR) to increase its optimum beamforming robustness. MVDR optimum beamforming has been achieved on AT91SAM9263 microprocessor. Specifically, the following sections are included:(1) Modeling simulate and analyze the application of delay_and_sum algorithm, Capon minimum algorithm and MUSIC algorithm in spectrum estimation.Direction of receiced signals arrival (DOA) is studied, their resolution power and method superiority or inferiority are analyed.(2) Analyze and study the weigthing nulling technology in general beamforming technology. Simulations indicated that the different spectrum weighting technology had different performance and the prescribed null technology restrained interfering signals.(3) Add the Diagnol loading and line constraint technology to protect the main beam aim to solve the problem of mismatch MVDR beam former. Simulations results showed that MVDR beam former owned good robustness with order rule.(4) Achieve the actual process of implemention of MVDR optimum beamforming based on ARM9263 microprocessor. The problem of received signals matrix's inversion was solved by Gauss-Jordan elimination method. The experimental results showed that, MVDR optimum beamforming was real-time achieved on AT91SAM9263 microprocessor with better performance.
