Taking the ERP system of the apparel industry as the researching object and analyzing the crucial requirements and challenge of the apparel industry, this paper advances the requirement for reconfiguration of the ERP system of the apparel industry. On account of the above-mentioned requirement, this paper adopts the latest technology and makes use of the research achievements in the fields of software engineering and information system. Thus, a high-speed reconfigurable ERP system of the apparel industry is designed and implemented.Because of the quickly-replaced products, it is hard to standardize the parts and an apparel enterprise needs an unique ERP system. The universal ERP has high rigidity, so the ERP system producers seldom provide secondary development for the ERP system users. Up to the present moment, there is no ERP system that can be universally approved by the apparel industry. The custom-made ERP system is very expensive because of the high development cost and most of the enterprises can hardly afford it. Further more, the development and implementation take a great risk because of the changes of the business process. Thus, it is of great significance to develop a highly-reusable and reconfigurable ERP system, which is more adaptable and can extend product life cycle, both theoretically and practically.Firstly, this paper elaborates the current development of ERP system of the apparel enterprises and the reconfigurable ERP system, both in China and other countries. Meanwhile it analyses the problems that the apparel enterprises come across when they are applying the systems and the critical issues of the reconfigurable ERP system. Secondly, by analyzing the business of the enterprises with the adoption of ERP'theory, software reuse theory, software component theory and domain engineering theory, and applying object-oriented method, this paper abstracts, constructs and chooses basic functional components, core function components and application function components, and then achieves component reconstruct function by fitting and clipping business components. Thirdly, by designing all the function. modules of the reconfigurable ERP system with the use of UML tools, this paper designs the system architecture holistically, and also designs the sub-systems of technology, fixture, and storehouse. Then, this paper constructs the reconfigurable ERP system of the apparel enterprises on the basis of.NET and SQL Server 2005. Finally, this paper systematizes the gauge module of a typical sub-system of the apparel enterprises.
