| As the development of information technology and computer network technology, network teaching develops quickly, especially the Network Teaching System based on Streaming Media Technology. Because of its technical advantages, it can combine together the real-time video, the real-time audio and the teaching tools. These characteristics make it possible for the teachers and the students to share the information and communicate with each other through the Internet, which results in the realization of Long-Distance Education. The development and application of the Long-Distance Education system have been one of the hot spots of the network application. It is especially urgent and significant to make some research on the Distance Learning system based on streaming media.This article first briefly introduce an overall design of the network teaching system, and then a detailed analysis of the core network teaching-The video system, focusing on the streaming media technology by using Flash Media Server, implementation audio and video transmission of network teaching. What's more, the using of UML and descriptions of the system requirements which given by diagrams have shown the key control processes. This system can provide users with the following six features:user management, information management, real-time teaching management, asynchronous teaching management, seminars management and system management.Finally, a detailed analysis will be given on the adaptive bandwidth, the edge server technology and related technology in view of the Internet bandwidth of instability, the data jitter and packet loss-prone situation, as well as the possibility of more users.By using different kinds of advanced teaching technology, the Internet, and the multimedia including video and audio, the computer can help a lot in teaching and cut down the education cost. It can also provide varieties of learning strategies, which are of Internet features and different from the traditional teaching method, indicating a promising development of the Network Teaching System. |
