| It is an inevitable trend that computer will be used more and more widely in fields of science research, automatic control, information processing as well as daily life, and reformation of the physical experiment teaching should adapt to this trend. The "European Journal of Physics" have commented that computer-aided teaching will be the third teaching form in physics teaching after the traditional theoretical teaching and experimental teaching. The current traditional physics experiments have some common problems:the experimental methods and means are either too "ancient" or "old" (making students repeat "slash-and-burn" skills) that doesn't stimulate students'interests in experiments, resulting poor teaching effect, or too "automatic" that have greatly weakened the training of students'basic experimental skills. To solve the above problems, with full consideration of no weakening to the training of students'basic experimental skills, make full use of computer technology, photoelectric technology, sensing technology and virtual instrument technology to reform the representative experiments in mechanics, thermology, optics and electrology with combination of "the software engineering and the software process theory". And with introducing the computer-assisted education thought in software development, it is feasible to make corresponding experimental instruments aided with computer software. To realize physical data collection and experimental process controlling by computer, the following six methods are used:(1) computer parallel technology, (2) computer serial technology, (3) the linear CCD technology, (4) ccd-array (cameras) technology, (5)USB technology, (6) data acquisition card. Based on the characteristics of different experiments, with full consideration of optimized combination principle, the reformed experiment schemes are:(1) the first method in the "experiment of measuring moment of inertia" for considering that several groups of experiments share only one computer and it requires high speed in data collection; (2) the second method in the "experiment of Magneto-Optical Modulation" for considering that one computer controls one group of experiments and the speed requirement for data collection is not very high;(3) the third method in the "experiment of using grating constant to determine wacelength" for considering of the large area for observing the optical image; (4) the forth method in the "experiment of using double prism interference to measure optic wavelength" and "experiment of optical fiber sensing " for considering of the characteristics of interference fringes and the cost of equipment; (5) the fifth method in the "experiment of gas PTV relation research" and "the experiment of thermal conductivity measurement" for considering of the speed of data collection and the generality of the interface; (6) the sixth method in the "experiment of RLC transient process" for considering of the characteristics of the high-speed data collection. In addition, considering the control of window environment, each scheme above is developed with Visual Basic language. The reformed experiments have already been conducted in some universities and the results show that the computer-aided physics.experiments have Notable effect. It not only reflects the significant effect of modern technology, making students learn and grasp the advanced experimental technique, but also do not affect the training of basic skills, making each experimental process clear and convenient. It has shortened the distance between the knowledge and the practical technology of the students, and greatly improved students'interest in experiments. It is a substantive step in physics experiments reform, and can be developed and prompted directly as a product, which will open a new way for the current depressed teaching instrument industry. |
