At present, China cotton processing abilities have far beyond the cotton production capacity, the cotton machine market tend to be saturated, it requires cotton processing industry to fine and automation development in a certain degree. In this article, based on the actual situation in a cotton factory in jiangsu province, aim at the insufficient that control precision is not high, the system stability is poor and can't remote monitoring site equipment which exists in the original system, further analysis and research of the key techniques has been made for achieving the seed cotton drying temperature control system automation.In this paper, the domestic and international advanced conveyor belt type seed cotton drying system has been analyzed, and based on this,it's determined to take omron PLC as the core to control the multi-loop temperature control system design scheme.The PID control algorithm is applied to the program of temperature control and it achieved the precise control in direct numerical control way; Meanwhile, It completed the overall system design, the hardware included circuit principle diagram of detailed design, converter selection,master device PLC function module selection, sensors and pneumatic solenoid valve selection, etc. Software included compiling procedures of systematic equipments logic control and temperature control program by omron CX - Programmer, and combining CX - Process tool, the virtual configuration and parameter setting of PID module and analog input and output module have been made, at last, the human-machine interface has been made by CX - Designer.Finally, through the results of the installation of the system, indicate that various performance indicators have reached factories require, this fully demonstrated the rationality and feasibility of this control scheme. The improved system made the resurgence rate more stable, the function and the class has improved and gained obvious economic benefits after production.
