The current communication system can be broadly divided into two categories:infrared or laser-based communications systems and radio-based communication system. Infrared and radio frequency and laser communications systems have been relatively mature, the application is very extensive. But there are some drawbacks to their respective, infrared and laser communications requirements tracking, alignment, can only look communications, RF communications vulnerable to electromagnetic interference.UV communication system has many other means of communication without the advantages of solar blind ultraviolet communication advantages of the region is more apparent. First of all, the atmosphere, ozone absorbs wavelengths below, so the UV wavelengths below 290nm is called solar-blind region. Work in the solar blind ultraviolet communication systems area will not be the impact of ultraviolet light from the sun, so the system noise is relatively small. Second, the dissemination of UV to scattering and attenuation of relatively large, the propagation distance is limited, so the ultraviolet range of communication systems can be as small non-line of sight communications, while not susceptible to third-party monitoring, has a good confidentiality.Solar blind ultraviolet transmission characteristics of the atmosphere determines that it has anti-interference ability and non-line features. Therefore, the study has far-reaching significance of UV Communication. The near-Earth atmospheric molecules and particles on the strong solar blind UV absorption, UV-distance communication has been limited. UV-Ad Hoc Ad Hoc networks using a multi-hop nature of the characteristics of the network to overcome the weaknesses of the limited communication range of UV, the UV communication systems and Ad Hoc networks complement each other.Based on the study of wireless Ad Hoc network MAC protocol and MAC layer protocols based on power control is proposed for Ad Hoc Networks UV MAC protocol and the MAC layer power control protocol IEEE 802.11 DCF-BD (IEEE 802.11 DCF-Basic Directional). The agreement will not look into the UV characteristics of the channel and power control into the MAC protocol design. Then this agreement to be achieved in the OPNET and its agreement with the IEEE 802.11 DCF in terms of throughput and end to end delay were compared.
