| Climate change is the most challenge humankind have to deal with in the 21st century, and the media have been demonstrated to play a key role in shaping public perception and policy agendas.This paper explores how media(mainly focus on newspapers) constructing climate change issue. First, this article pays close attention to issue-attention cycle of global media coverage climate change from 1988 to 2010.Next, current research discusses trends of media reporting on climate change. Then, through a comparative method, the article analyses media representation of climate change in United States, Europe, China and Africa. Final, according to sociology of news production, this research demonstrates what factors have impacted on media's social construction of climate change. |
