Research Of The Interaction Between Television And The Modern Evolution Of Urban Fringe Areas In Shanghai

In the background of the social transformation of China,we choose the television media representing the mass media and select a demonstration of new countryside located in the combined zone between the urban and rural areas in Shanghai. We try to find the impact of the television media on all levels of social change including social structure, values, the public's beliefs etc. in order to explore the changes the mass media represented by the television media can make to meet the modern evolution of this region. We are involved to provide feasible proposals including the cultivation of the modern personality in rural society, the way of the mass media producing and processing information and the government's macro control so as to promote the modern transformation of rural society and make the urban and rural areas develop harmonically. In the background of globalization, there is a need to make the communication science adapt to China's development. Choosing one demonstration of new countryside in Shanghai is good for analysing the changes and transformation of China's society. This study is involved to construct special characteristics of China's communication science and find research fields being unique to the local society in China. I hope this study will become one important part of social care and population trend of social sciences' researches in China.
