| With the expand of the coverage of the monitoring system as well as the increase of the number of the cameras in the monitoring system, it is more and more difficult to maintain the monitoring system, and some potential problems emerged, one of which is the detection of the video quality in the monitoring system. Video quality testing can be both subjectively and objectively implemented. A large number of problems one condition of which is the working-state of cameras appear as the number of cameras in the video monitoring system increases. As we all know, the image transmited by a single camera may be sometime unusual in the video monitoring system. Such as Decoding-image missing, abnormal color in the image and some speckles in the image that can seriously affect the quality of the video and so on. If these problems cannot be detected and resolved opportunely, some economic losses may be caused. When the number of cameras is very small, staff can easily check out the images that appear abnormal. However, it is difficult to detect the pictures that appear abnormal for people in the large number of pictures. Apart from that, as the anomalies of images transmitted by the camera is usually random, it is unnecessary to detect all the abnormal images only by people. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an system to detect the video quality. In this article, a video quality testing system which can check out the abnormal images that contain some speckles, hue and appear black screen, was been developed. Staff can set the time to detect the video quality. The system will save the results of detecting which is benefit for monitoring all the area. The technology of Video quality detection is based on the digital image processing and pattern recognition. In this article, all we described some relative technology about digital image processing and pattern recognition and the model of the abnormal images and developed the system. Finally, we made a summary of the status and prospects of the video quality detection technology. |
